Beyond Zero hosts Medical Safaris (large outreach programs) using a partnership
model to deliver free specialized healthcare services. The anchor program for the
Medical Safaris is provision of surgical repairs for women living with obstetric fistula.
Other services provided include; screening for cervical, breast and prostate cancers;
comprehensive eye care screening including cataract surgeries and provision of reading
glasses; antenatal care profiling; assessment and registration of persons with
disabilities among others.
To date, Beyond Zero has conducted 11 regional medical safaris hosted in Narok,
Kisumu, West Pokot, Nyandarua, Nairobi, Meru, Kiambu, Kilifi, Kajiado, Tharaka Nithi
and Mombasa counties reaching over 45,000 households with different health services.
In addition, 35 million people have been reached with health education and awareness
messages.
